What's happening at Teacher Orientation
Library Goals for 2005-2006: Catalog all science for all grades and all fiction for grades 5 to 8
We just finished day 2...it's good to learn about all the school's policies but I have to admit to having sympathy with all children who are not "natural sitters"...I must be the queen of the squirm club...(that's what so great about being a librarian - there's so much moving around and talking in our job.)
At orientation , I especially enjoy the aspect of getting to know my fellow staff members. It's so much easier to help one another when you have an idea of the personality behind the person.
Tomorrow I give my presentation on the status of the library...here's a brief overview:

- my background/history with CCA
- show overhead slides of blog/associated website
- give packet to teachers
- goal of library effort - ACCREDITATION!
- show skills needed for information literacy
- show tools needed for infomation literacy

Hi there. Good trash the other day on my street. Two rarely used dictionaries, 1991-2002(not completet)Nat'l Geo's in the hard cases with 2 extra cases for maps. Not bad for free.
