WOW! 600+ donations still to catalog...
Library Goals for 2005-2006: Catalog all science for all grades and all fiction for grades 5 to 8
And to think the library team has catalogued over 1600 already (over 18 months with all volunteer labor - mostly from parents.)
Finally got most of the donations in covered plastic bins - history, geography, easy readers and picture books will go into the next round of bins. Estimating that one of these bins holds about 50 to 60 books:
science, technology, math - 1 bin
science - animals - 1 bin
fiction - older grades - 2 bins
fiction - middle grades - 2 bins
Bible, ethics, Christian life - 1 bin
Art, Sports, Social Sciences - 1 bin
Into the bin for older fiction, I also tucked in biographies and any fiction that looked especially enticing to those children looking for adventure or boy characters.
Right now all bins and boxes are neatly piled up on shelves - freeing up the floor for a desperate cleaning. Cookie has promised this will happen before school starts.
