Year-end status of library overdue books...

Dear CCA Administration,

The library team has valiantly tracked down 75 of the 100 overdue books at year-end. To get the last 25 will require contact with parents either through a letter or a phone call. Pursuing this option requires administrative staff skills and availablity - which the library does not have. If the administration wants to commit time to retrieving these books - great (send me an email). Otherwise, we will count them as a loss this year. This is not ideal, but for our first year it is not the end of the world. Next year we will have more experience in how to get a higher rate of returns.

I choose not to have the PTO pursue them more because we have such a backlog of donations to go through - weighing the costs makes it clear that is more valuable for the volunteers to add to the catalog rather than pursue overdues.

take care,
