How to print lists of overdues by patron...
Our library software, which shall remain nameless, does not make this easy. So we have to use a different approach. We will use a "secret" feature of PowerPoint to capture and print these lists. We will in essence be making a photograph of what's on the screen when the library software is running and then putting the photo on a PowerPoint slide. Then we can easily print it and give to the patron. The "photo" feature also prints the blue desktop which we want to avoid beccause it eats up color ink. To do this we will get Word running and open our catalog software on top of it - this giving us a white background - easier on the ink supply.
