"martin luvs coretta"
No, I didn't actually see this carved on one of the study tables in BU's School of Theology Library...but it was during his time here in Boston that he met Miss Coretta and got married. Watching the PBS special "Citizen King" this month caused me more to focus on Miss Coretta and her character. Turns out she was actually by nature, more the activist in the family; Dr. King really preferring to preach and teach. Amazingly, she led a huge march 5 days after her husband was assassinated. The more I learn about her and the difficulties of being Dr. King's wife, the more I respect her. Here is more on her life- a tribute from a college president and the offical one from the King Center in Atlanta.
