Music Teacher Goes Wild at Conference...
and buys a slew of music books for the library out of her own pocket. Blessings on you, Mrs. B!
this is a 64 page encyclopedia on music with the very accessible Usborne prose and cartoon illustrations
this work goes hand in glove with our curriculum's emphasis on American history in the younger grades. The inclusion of chords for voice and piano makes it valuable for the older children who are learning how to read music.
This is a juvenile biography that captures Mozart's childhood.
One of our first multi-media works...this comes with a CD with tracks of 10 famous classical pieces by composers that are covered in the accompanying book. The history of the instrument and how it works is also included. It would be great to have had jazz covered as well, but it's still a valuable donation.
A feast for the eyes! The oil painting illustrations add so much to this
story of a young girl meeting Tchaikovsky on his 1891 tour to the New World. There is CD that supplements it that would be a great complement...
This book is goldmine for middle-schoolers who choose to do their biographical report on this Russian composer.
"[This] adaptation of Tchaikovsky's ballet eloquently demonstrates the interpretive power of dance, making this book an excellent introduction to the beauty of the ballet." -Publisher's Weekly
I've assigned subject headings to these plus other info that must go into the catalog record. These are now in the queue for our data entry team to add into the catalog. Then these can be available from the library for students (or teachers!)
