Our Current task in the Library
Currently seperating the non-fiction into rough categories of:
permanent link
- science/tech/math
- history
- biography
- Bible/religion
- poetry/jokes/short stories
- sports/games
- encyclopedias
- dictionaries
I'm rearranging these on labeled shelves as I do it so that a volunteer could also work on it.
Once the rough sort is done, then we sort in the subject according to the Shelf Listing (which lives on top of the desk). This is a listing of every book in the catalog by classification such as Fiction, Biograhy or dewey decimal number for non-fiction. Once in numerical order, it will be very easy to label what we have. I will be printing out labels for all non-fiction by the end of this week ...
